It was sunny, warm and even too hot if you stayed in the sun too long, but we ate sausages at Munchen sausage haus and tom and grant drank beer, which was apparently really good. Then Tom bought half a pound of Taffy, ate some and decided it was too much of a not so good thing, so gave it away to someone at the Earth Day festival in the park. We tried chocolate dipped potato chips at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate factory and they were delicious, and Grant and I had gelati from Via Dolce, and the guava was the best flavour. The Australian "store" as they called it, was selling small jars of vegemite for $9.95, and Tim Tams for $7. It was funny when a kid bought a boomerang and the lady in the shop tried to find him some instructions on how to 'play with it'
The snow capped mountains were simply amazing, and we saw Mt Baker, which is the snowiest place in the world (check it on wikipedia if you dont believe me). Everyone saw Bambi look-alikes, except me, the sun made me real sleepy and i snoozed most of the way home. Tom says there was a frozen lake i missed out on as well which was cool.
We also went past the Steven's Pass snowfields, where Grant likes to ski sometimes, and we also saw a few of the mountains he climbed while doing his mountaineering course. Good on him, cos they were massive!
Enjoy the snowy pictures.
