Today we endured a very long journey from San Francisco to Santa Barbara. The journey should have taken no longer than 6 hours but due to the bad weather and thus major traffic jamming, it took more like 10 hours, by which time Rob and I had exhausted every single car game ever known to man!

We were tired and hungry when we arrived, so after a late but speedy dinner we all headed to bed and were asleep before our heads hit the pillow!!

The next day the sun decided to show it's face.. YAY! It was a beautiful day in Santa Barbara so we took a walk along the pier taking as many pictures as we could whilst the sun was out.

Unfortunately we couldn't spend all day here as we had to head back to Los Angeles for our very exciting trip to the Ice Hockey match that evening.

If we'd know the weather was going to get better perhaps we would've stayed longer in Santa Barbara as it really was a beautiful place, especially with the sun shining!

I love Santa Barbara. Their coastline might be the most gorgeous around! The surf is excellent if you are interested in that and the weather is also just as good. In the dead of summer it is the place to be. I have so many wonderful memories spent on the beaches in SB! I was actually just there and I stayed at the South Coast Inn (www.santa-barbara-hotel.com). So elegant and the perfect place to escape all of the city noise!

Great place to visit, Santa Barbara. I've had some great vacations in the area and each time I have an enriching experience. Wine tasting is a real joy as well as kayaking around the harbor. I'm planning my next trip there and I am so excited. I'll be staying at the Sandman Inn (www.thesandmaninn.com). So affordable and very close to all of the action that Santa Barbara has to offer!

Great times in Santa Barbara. Perfect place to escape the madness of the city. I always go to SB to get out of LA and enjoy the beautiful clean beaches. I was just in town and had a lovely time on a very relaxing vacation. Stayed at the South Coast Inn (www.santa-barbara-hotel.com). So classy and the best place to call home while on vacation.

How can a stop on the coast ever be quick?! Santa Barbara deserves a solid amount of time, hopefully you can go back soon and explore more of that great city. I've always enjoyed visiting my friends and family who live there, so jealous! The beach, the hiking, shopping, love it all. The last time I was in town which was far too long ago (2010!) I had a great time enjoying Summer Solstice and sunshine! I stayed at this fabulous place, the South Coast Inn (www.goleta-hotel.com). Right outside of town and close to the beach and countless bike paths that take you right downtown!
