Today Jen and I drove the 10 hour drive from Byron Bay to Sydney, we'd had a good nights sleep and left early, sharing the driving and having plenty of stops along the way! The drive was very straight forward, we stayed on the Pacific Highway which took us straight from A to B (my kind of road)! We slept in the car over night to save on accommodation... interesting but actually more comfortable than a few hostel beds I've slept in!!!!

We spent the next few days inside to avoid the rain!! This was not fun and very annoying! The rain was so heavy that roads were flooding, and no amount of waterproofing was keeping us dry!

One day it brightened up by 5pm so we took a wander to Circular Quay where you can see the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. We treated ourselves to a glass of wine at the Opera bar with beautiful views of both landmarks and suited and booted Australian TV stars surrounding us. We saw cast members from Home and Away, Bondi Vet and other very beautiful people I didn't recognise! They were all going into the Opera House for a special TV event hosted by Oprah Winfrey to raise awareness for World AIDS day!!!

On the 2nd December the rain had finally cleared up and we managed to grab a sunny spot in Hyde Park to sit and take in the busy city around us. BUT it wasn't long before the rain came again!

The next few days were spent in Bondi Beach where we stayed with some friends. The weather was good and it was nice to get to the beach again. We didn't do much except eat some nice home cooking and spend time getting to know new people.

On the 7th we took a short bus ride back into the city. It was a very sunny day so we took advantage and went back to Circular Quay to get the very touristy snaps of the Bridge and the Opera House that we hadn't managed to get before due to the bad weather!

That evening we caught our overnight bus to Melbourne... our last stop in Australia!
