So 5am was our start time!! Not a fan of these early starts, travelling is super fun but never is there time to have a lie in!!

We sat at the bus stop and ate the rest of our crunchy nut cornflakes from a plastic coke cola cup- classy, as we waited for our bus to arrive.

Our driver was called Sconzey... all of the Oz Experience drivers have road names, and this was his, but we weren't allowed to know why!

On our way to Townsville we stopped at a nature reserve to have an early morning walk though the rainforest and to see some beautiful waterfalls- Very nice... SPIDERS... not so nice!

Later we made another stop off at the Crocodile Farm in Innesfail. We held baby Crocs, fed the Kangaroos and Emus and played with Fraser the Dingo. Watching the Crocs being fed was pretty scray but really cool at the same time, they had very loud snapping jaws and have the deadliest bite on the planet!! We also got to see the worlds most dangerous bird- the Cassowary.

We arrived in Townsville with just enough time to catch the ferry over to Magnetic Island, and caught the local bus to Base Backpackers Hostel.

We stayed on Maggie Island until the 2nd of November during which time we hired a topless barbie type car to get around the Island and see the sites! It was lots of fun and we saw some beautiful beaches. On Halloween we sat on the beach in the dark with some friends telling spooky ghost stories, listening to the waves crashing against the rocks!
