Day 9- The Jungle Trek. Ok so I opted for a day of jungle trekking to see the worlds largest flower the Rafflesia. I climbed for 3 hours up almost vertical mountain side, through folliage, over tree stumps, under brances, collecting bugs (large ones) on my clothes as I brushed past big palm leaves, to find that the flower, which supposedly had 7 days left in bloom, dead and rotting!!! GREAT!! So then we climbed even higher to find yet another flower black and shrivelled! So onto another and........ Halleluja 3rd time lucky, we saw the flower in full bloom. At last the trek took us downwards, which by this time was a big relief as we were all very tired from climbing, although this was still tough as it was very steep and anything I grabbed to steady myself either fell out of the tree or moved! I did fall over and twist my ankle which hurt a lot as we still had a long way down, but I guess as you all know I can't do anything or go anywhere without having an accident!!

We stopped at a waterfall to cool off, which was beautiful, the sound of the water gushing over the rocks was very peaceful, and we all took some alone time to take in the tranqility of our surroundings.

Back at base we spent time at the Aborigine Village, learning how to shoot a blow pipe. I had a couple of goes and scored a bullseye!! YAY!

Later we took a trip to the BOH Tea Plantation where we learnt about the tea making process. It was very interesting and the views were amazing. We even sampled the delights as we sat on the balcony overlooking the plantation.

Our final stop was at the Strawberry Farm. BEST EVER STRAWBERRY JAM!!! Yum yum! Everyone got a different strawberry treat, some were milkshakes, some had icecream, some scones with jam and cream. I got nothing and just tried a bit of everyone elses!!

Day 10- Felt a little homesick today, either that or I was a bit sick from all the strawberry goodies I sampled the day before! Travelled again, but this time from The Cameron Highlands to Kuala Lumpur. This didn't take long, only 3 hours, so we had time to explore on arrival.

I went to the national mosque, where I had to dress in a long purple hooded robe, as my shorts and t-shirt were not appropriate for the muslim place of worship. The mosque was very beautiful and I visited the school, where the children were singing traditional muslim prayer songs.

That evening we took pictures outside the Petronas Twin Towers, which were lit up and looked very pretty at night.
