PUC2 Code / PUK2 Code

What's a PUC2 code, what can you do with it and where do you have to pay attention to? These are the subjects that are handled on this page.

PUC is the abbreviation of "Personal Unlock Code". A PUC2 code is an addition to the PUC code and you will hardly use it. You will only have to give in your PUC2 code when you gave in the wrong PIN2 code 3 times or when you forgot your PIN2 code. You can find more information about the PIN code, PIN2 code and the PUC code elsewhere within this helpdesk.

When you buy a cellular phone most of the time the PIN2 code and the PUC2 code aren't delivered together with your phone. The provider doesn't deliver these codes because the services that are "protected" by the PIN2 code aren't supported by the provider. If you do have a PUC2 code you have to keep this on a safe place because if you press in the wrong PIN2 code 3 times you will need your PUC2 code. The PUC code consists out of 8 numbers and your cellular phone will ask for this code automatically when you give in the wrong PIN2 code 3 times. When you have a PUC2 code you can change your PIN2 code directly without giving in the old PIN2 code. This is the same at every device. WATCH OUT: Don't rummage around with this function if you don't have the PUC code. When you give in the wrong code 9 times your simcard will be blocked and can't be repaired anymore.

If you give in the code above you have to press "ok" or the send button and by this your PIN2 code will be changed into the new PIN2 code. You have to give in the new PIN2 code twice to prevent any faults.

What should you do when you didn't receive a PUC2 code or when you don't have it anymore? You can't unlock your cellular phone anymore after you pressed in the wrong PIN2 code 3 times. Now you can't use your simcard anymore. When you give in the wrong PIN2 code you'd better do nothing and ask for the PIN2 code and the PUC2 code at your provider. Most of the time you have to pay for this. If you press in the wrong PIN2 code 9 times you have a big problem. Your cellular phone cannot be unlocked by anyone anymore and you will have to claim for a new simcard. Most of the time you have to pay for this. You can find more information about the simcard elsewhere within this helpdesk.
