Forwarding calls
With the most subscriptions and with some prepaid providers you can forward the calls of your cellular phone to an other phone. On this page I will explain how forwarding calls works, what the costs of this are and what you can and can't do within the forwarding of calls. Are you not sure if you can forward calls with your cellular phone? You can consult the costumer service of your provider.
Everyone has had to do with forwarding calls some time, maybe conscious, maybe unconscious. Every cellular phone has the availability of a voicemail. When you turn on or turn off your voicemail you're basically activating or cancelling the forwarding of calls. In the cellular phone world there are 4 common types of forwarding: When in conversation When not answering (forwarding after a period of time) When not in or out of reach Forwarding all callsYou can activate and cancel forwarding calls. You can also claim the status of the calls you forwarded. You can forward calls by using the menu in your cellular phone (Most of the time under "network services"). It goes too far to explain for every type of device how to go to this menu so that's why I give you the direct codes to forward calls. Basically your cellular phone sends the same codes when you forward calls from the menu.
You can find more information about the construction of instruction codes elsewhere on this Mobile Phone Helpdesk. On this page I only focus on describing the instruction codes to forward calls.

Cancel all active forwardings (cancel all categories that are named above at once):
##002# [send]
The costs
The activating, cancelling or controlling (claiming status) the forwarding of calls is free. When you have forwarded your calls to an other number (except to your voicemail) and you're being called you have to pay for the costs for the connection from your cellular phone to the other number. Please remember this.
Forwarding on other networks (roaming)
I highly advise against this! When you're abroad and you have activated the forwarding of calls in your cellular phone you will have to pay for the connection from the border to your cellular phone and back to the country in which the number is you forwarded your calls to. By doing this you're paying double costs. Unfortunately this counts for your voicemail too. If you want to make sure you don't come home and find an unpleasent surprise you have to cancel all forwards with ##002#.
Other forwards
There are more possibilities with forwarding calls, for example for fax and data calls. The codes for this are different per provider and some providers don't even supply this function. To know more about these codes you can contact the costumer service of your provider. Forwarding calls during a conversation (put through) isn't possible with a cellular phone.
