Where I stayed
The drive was uneventful and took no longer than 30 mins, we arrived at Paje and drove through a little village with shops and huts before getting to the beach. We walked through a few different resorts before we came out to the long white sandy beach. It was beautiful. The main things that were different were that there was a long sandy beach accessible high and low tide and there were heaps of tourists. Most of whom were kite surfing, the whole beach was dotted with kites.
As it was quite hot in the sun we found ourselves an area in the shade and settled in
After a few swims and bit of sun bake we were getting peckish, so Mum and I decided to go for a walk up and down the beach to see what our options were and settled on the Crystal Resort. Their restaurant was beautiful, set back from the beach but still with a great view, not to mention the menu and prices looked good.
Dad and Gary were indulging in a beer with lunch so it would be rude if I didn't join them - one mojito for me please! It was one of the most delicious mojitos I have had, might have been the fresh local limes, but whatever it was it was good.
After lunch we went for another swim and then Mum and I went souvenir shopping. There was so much stuff but only ended up getting one gift and Mum kept her money in her wallet. We also checked out the supermarket and grabbed some supplies but there really wasn't much. Walking back to the beach we spotted Raymond the taxi driver waiting for us so we went back, rallied the troops and made our way back to the taxi. On the way home we stopped for ice creams and some fresh fruit before getting back to Promised Land around 5.30pm.
After showering Shawn and Angela cooked up the left over fish so we had fish, salad and chips again for dinner. Well if it tastes so good why change it?
Tomorrow is another day in paradise.
