I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't have organised a better milestone birthday celebration for David but there wasn't too much I could do about it. So the poor old chap had to spend his big one on a hot squishy train to Mumbai then we had a few hours there to get ripped off then an overnight train trip to Aurangabad.

The day train was very crowded but we had birthday cupcakes and peanut butter sandwiches to help us along the way.

In Mumbai we wandered round the streets near the train station and discovered a nice, friendly little eating hole for dinner. Then to our delight the Golden Arches came into view!! Birthday chocolate sundaes! Not one to usually find solace in Maccas we were easily pleased at that point. Then, much to our excitement, we spied a cake shop, so stopped in and had real chocolate cake with some of that squirty cream and hot chocs. Yes, I know, it was boiling outside, but we did it. Then it was back to the train station for our overnighter.

Ah well, at least he got some birthday cake!!
