Where I stayed
19 rue Andre Del Sarte, Montmartre Paris
What I did
4 nights, 3 days of soaking it all in
We've been here 2.5 weeks already. Another 2 weeks to go. Already, we were commenting on how awesome it is to be able to pick up your (delicious) bread(s), fruits, meat, everyday from local markets. It's fresh. It's delicious. The Iberico ham in Spain (is there a better ham anywhere in the world? Sorry Mr. Parma Procuitto, you come in second on this) , the pastries and bread from France, the list goes on. Seriously, how do you go back to shopping at Cubs after that? Even Whole Foods or some other upscale organic shop can't compare!
OK...I promised some of you that I would update my blog every few days but you have to understand...Sangria pitchers, sunsets from the patio, spending time with family and new friends, beach, sun, sand, sangria pitchers...
We finished our second week in Spain by exploring nearby towns like Peralada and Figueres
I'm now writing from Paris. It's our last night here. We had 4 nights and 3 full days. I LOVE this city. I have never been here in the summer tho and it happens to be Fashion Week. The place is packed! People everywhere, the town is buzzing
I'm posting a bunch of pictures and will write more from northern France. I know there's a lot of food pictures but if you know me well, you know that the only reason I exercise is because I luuuuv good food. In the meantime I leave you with two favorite quotes on this great city, you can tell me which one suits this town the best or which one you like the most. :-D Bonsoir tout le monde!
"If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life, it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast."~ Ernest Hemingway
"It’s true that the French have a certain obsession with sex, but it’s a particularly adult obsession. France is the thriftiest of all nations; to a Frenchman sex provides the most economical way to have fun. The French are a logical race." ~ Anita Loos
