We arrived in Santa Ana, starting point of our walking loop we will do in these parts for three days. We started the first day by walking from Santa Ana 17km to a little town called Chalchuapa. In the afternoon we took a bus to Ahuachapan, where we spent our first night. The next day, we got up and walked 24 km in total, first 6 because we took the wrong route, and then the rest reaching Conception de Ataco. In the afternoon, we carried on until Apaneca and from there took a bus to Juyua where we slept. On the third day, we took a bus to volcano Cerro Verde, situated in a national parc called Los Volcanoes. There are three small marked trails to go around the volcano. We came back to Santa Ana right after that and spent our last night in El Salvador.
