We arrived in Leon, which is the home of the biggest cathedral in Central America (big but still nothing compared to Notre Dame de Paris, without sounding too pretentious ha ha). There are some volcanoes to climb, and we wanted to do one, but you need to go with an agency (no public transportation and too dangerous alone as the trails are not well marked) and the tours are expensive. For some reason, Leon is a spot for gringos, and the hotel we are staying is packed with foreigners only. We met a cool couple with whom we went for a game of pool and an ice cream (ok ok a couple of mojitos too...) and walked around town.
