We stayed two nights in Montezuma but unfortunately it was raining all the time and quite heavily. We went for a walk the morning we were there, towards the national park, without ever entering it because it cost 10bucks to get in and the road there is nice enough.
The village is really cute but way too expensive. It is the most touristy region of Costa Rica apparently. The road to get there is very very bumpy, so bad that the buses will stop running as from today and the taxi as from next week! So the tourism will probbly die in that zone unless the government accepts to pay to rebuild the road, which is not likely to happen. So we felt privileged to be able to go there so easily. The town is full of cats and dogs, we wanted to adopt one almost, he was following us everywhere. We went to the beach but the waves on the pacific side are to crazy for my liking, i was really scared of them because they just carry you away. Twice we had an electricity cut in the evening because of the rain not subsiding.
On our way to out next destination, we had to stop over to Puntarenas again, where i am actually writing from. We woke up this moning to catch the 7.50am bus to Monteverde, and guess what? it nver turned up! Next one, 1.15pm, so i am killing time basically. I phoned the bus company, it seamed to be a normal thing for the buses to not show up from time to time.
