Hello!
I am in Porto Alegre, and i really like this city. It is quite big (1.4million inhabitants) and very lively. I arrived this morning with an overnight bus from Florianopolis. I thought iīd be there before, but in the end, i decided to take the bus by night, so i could enjoy florianopolis yesterday in the afternoon (i had only been on the island which is one hour away by bus).
So i was at the bus station this mornin, i checked ino a hotel which was recommended by the tourist information, the cheapest in town, and i have my own room for 15reais, half of what i usually pay.
So i am bang in the centre, close to everything. Today i went to the market place, it is huge, covered, and very busy. People are shouting from everywhere, and it has a very traditional side to it, loads of vegetable and fruits stands, fishmongers, little shops with herbs and grains all sorts of teas
I walked a lot in the streets, back and forth to the bus station cause i needed to find out about going to Montevideo. So i decided that tomorrow night, iīll take a night bus to Uruguay, the bus company arranges the border formalities for me, so i donīt have to worry too much, makes my life easy.
I am really feeling tired today cause i slept so badly in the bus yesterday night, the seats werenīt inclining, and i was sitting next to a granny that took the armchair for herself grrr.
I post just a photo with this entry now, i didnīt take anymore after this.

View from my room in Ilha Santa Catarina
. It was a lovely day, i went to have a drink on a terrace on the 7th floor of a building called Casa Da Cltura Mario Quitana, which is the home of a theater, a cinema and exhibitions. I went down taking the stairs to have a good look at everything. The building is all painted in pink, with the light of the sun itīs beautiful, and going down i first saw some paintings that i didnīt particularly like, and the concert of Santana was playing on a TV so i decided to watch it a little while with other people, one guy really into it, shaking his head, hands, feet... I miss my music... and it reminded me how i love this album of Santana (Supernatural).I walked a lot in the streets, back and forth to the bus station cause i needed to find out about going to Montevideo.
