Hi Again!

Yesterday was a busy day. We got up at 6am, got on the Extress Ferry (Beetle) that left Fukuoka Japan and arrived in Busan, South Korea. From there we took an express KTX train (that went 300 km/hr!!) that brought us back to Jessica, Adam, and Tintiny!! We arrived at 4pm, which only gave us a few hours to do laundry, pack our clothes (we're gone now for 3 weeks!!) and prepare for the big adventure!! We had a nice diner with Jess and Adam last night!

This morning we got up at 5 am, got ready quickly, took an Airport Bus to Seoul Incheon Airport and flew to Beijing, China! Wow, what a trip it has been so far! And we still have 3.5 weeks to go!!! We will stay here for 8 days, then head directly to Thailand for 2 full weeks (of which we hope to spend a few days in Cambodia) and then we will return to Seoul for 3 nights before heading back to Canada!

China so far is BEAUTIFUL! It's absolutely unreal--the trees, flowers, buildings, etc. We came directly to our hostel and got some things ready! Our Hostel is absolutely amazing! It is pretty big, right in the center of the city (a 10-15 min. walk from the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Sq.) and it has really nice rooms (significantly larger than our previous hostel). The bathrooms are really clean too! Also, it has a RESTAURANT!! Luc and I were thrilled about the restaurant as the menus are in ENGLISH :) (YAY!) and it has both Asian and Western food---ahhh the best of both worlds! We had it for Lunch and Diner tonight! haha it is delicious!!! And it's super cheap here so far! Everything is only a few bucks!!! Also, the hostel has a luxury room with dvd's, pool tables, etc...it also has laundry service, internet service, etc...it's wicked! (Good call, Jessica!!!) So we are super happy with our location!

Today we walked around a bit, went to Tianamen Sq., saw a bit of the Forbidden city (we're waiting for Jess to join us for the actual sight-seeing) and did some street shopping! I must say, Beijing is pretty amazing!! We are really excited for Jessica's arrival tomorrow afternoon!! :)

Some things on our "must see" list include the great wall (of course---we actually hope to sleep on it one night!), forbidden city, summer palace, chinese acrobatic show, chinese opera, etc...We will keep you posted as we go!!

Also, we have added some more pictures, but they are not in any order, and there were some middle pictures that we had a hard time uploading, so you're missing part of the pictures...also, you kind of have to fish for them in the diffeferent entries...haha...so have fun!
