We left the Mediterranean coast and headed north for the mountains again. Our hotel is just at the foot of the hill to Hierapolis and the white cliffs of Pamukkale can be seen from my room. We were driven to the top of the hill to Hierapolis, and after an orientation tour, were left on our own to explore the site. I visited the Roman baths, the theater, and the temple of Apollo, and slowly made my way back to the hotel down the cliffs, with water running down the terraces under my bare feet.

This is one of those places where one cannot put the feeling of wonderment into words. I have been trying to upload pictures for the last half an hour, but the connection is so s-l-o-w and timed out twice before I can upload one picture.

Check out these links and I will update previous blogs and upload pictures when I get home.

We are on the move everyday, and are spending less time at hotels. I tried writing in the bus, but I get car sick. Sorry. Also, it is difficult for me to put into words these amazing visual images I want to share with you, but they can only be fully appreciated in person. Wish you were here.
