Good Morning VIETNAM!!! So we woke up at 6am, (the lily portion of we still feeling sick... bleh), and beth again grabbed breakfast while i layed in bed. Then we grabbed a tuk tuk to the bus station and hopped on our bust to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. This was supposed to be a 10 hour bus ride... more on that later. We were AGAIN the only westerners on the bus, and NO ONE spoke english, so lots of the silly pantamiming game... soooo funny! The bus was nice, aircon, free water, clean and big. We quickly learned that our bus driver was absolutely, positively PSYCHOTIC!!! Lots of horn blairing, swerving and the bus actually went airborne TWICE (mind you this is a huge tour bus!). We stoppd at the border, you can tell they are in the process of building large western style structures, and enacting similar border controll policies: while they were trying very hard they just didn't quite have it together yet. But we made it through just fine, though the not being able to eat for two days thing has me feeling like a damn cripple every time i stand up thinking im going to pass out... more on that later. Our bus ended up getting us to Ho Chi Minh in 6, yes SIX hours. Cudos to the psycho bus driver. We took a taxi to a quaint guest house we read about and it is absolutely the most magnificent magical stereotypical old world indochine place you could imagine, nestled in a back alley of Ho Chi Minh. We just hung around for a couple of hours and now are on the internet, i think i am actually going to attempt eating tonight, i am feeling a bit better, and would rather chance feeling sick to my stomach than perpetually feeling like im about to faint. No worries mother, im just fine... taking it easy and all. Beth and i are also now officially on our NO POULTRY diet... damn bird flu. Yay for pre-packaged tuna! We will spend maybe three days here and then on to Dalat, I AM SOOOO EXCITED! I miss and love you all!
