Well... first and foremost, I HATE TULANE WEBMAIL!!! My e-mail account is down, so anyone who did write, know that i am not ignoring you, i just have no way of reading any of those emails. Please contact me from now on at (lilyrubin@gmail.com).

On to better news: We are heading to Phi Phi and Phuket tommorow! We will be staying at good ol' Mild Bungalow tonight, and then tommorow well catch a van to the port at 730am, our boat departs at 9ish, we will arrive in Phi Phi at around noon and spent a couple of hours mucking around and playing on the beach. Then our boat to Phuket will depart at around 2. Well stay in Phuket town for a couple of nights, then the morning of the 28th we will leave early for the long bus ride back to Surrathani, and then get on a train at 7pm for Bangkok, then we will wake up at 5am in Bangkok, take a tuktuk to the KhaoSan, meet our travel agent, pick up our visas and such, and meet our bus infront of her office at 7am. Then our bus will take us through the border to Sieng Riep Cambodia!!! So far thats what weve got. From there well book passage to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam on a bus... but were not sure how much time we will want in Sieng Riep for Angor Wat and such, so well take it as it comes.

Yesterday we just took it easy, played on the beach, watched some silly guys trying to play soccer in the ocean... i know, this makes no sense. We had some insanely long conversation about femminism (Beth is a staunch femminist in her own right, and well... as we all know there are lots of things (most things) about western femminism that drive me mad, and well... i can't stand whining femminazzi's as i lovingly refer to them. This conversation then turned into one about Africa, and cultural anthropology and Muslim women, and then the Muslim religion in general and... well it was a few hours worth of conversation at the end of which all you can do is sit back and realize how weird it is to have all of this insane liberal arts education which allows you to have these conversations and actually know what you are talking about to some degree. We both read an insane amount as per usual, i think between the two of us we have downed 5 or so books in the last week, but reading makes be happier than anything else in the world, so woohoo!!! On an exciting note... we actually stayed up late last night! And woke up late this morning... by late i mean 9am, but hey, still an improvement.

So... Ill try to e-mail from Phuket, and after that there will be no email untill we arrive in Sieng Riep, we get in late the 29th, so nothing actually untill the next day. Untill then, enjoying our last few days of beach, and preparing ourselves for what we will see in the tsunami ravaged zone of thailand.

LOOOOOVE!!!!
