We continued on down the highway for a few more long hours and arrived at Perth via the Swan River winery area about 2pm.  Some are meeting up to go out for one last drinking session but I had to turn them down though was invited.
After Terry delivered the rest he carried on to Freemantle and dropped me at the train station where I was picked up.  It was very hot.  My bites were in very bad shape and I had to find my way to her office.  The bite between my toes was, I think, the worst as it swelled up to about half an inch high and was rubbing on my sandal.
Eventually got on the CAT and was dropped a stop beyond.  Had to walk back and my foot got more sore.  At a pharmacy I did buy some Vitamin B which I am told wards off insects.  The pharmacist had no further advice for the bites than I am already doing.
It was lovely to get back to Helen's for a beer and some dinner.  Finally, peace, a cleansing shower, the internet, and a fine night's sleep.
