By June 1 I was getting positively desperate with the travel agent. I told her that I was losing sleep and becoming very fearful about not having tickets or a travel date. I needed to be gone by Monday as my friends are moving out of their place. I told her that if I did not have a ticket, I would be bringing all my gear and would need to sleep in her office until this was solved. I reminded her that we began talking about this on Monday and this was now Thursday and she had not even begun the process. I told her I had taken a recommendation from people about her and am not content with the service I am receiving. She apologized saying she had been very busy and assured me she would do it "tomorrow".
June 2. The travel agent finally produced my ticket at about 5pm. Also gave me a whole lot of paper which she told me to take with me then said only a bit of it really needed to go. Tickets are for all around the world Quebec to London, Stockholm, Helsinki, Frankfurt, Athens, back to Frankfurt, Johannesburg, Singapore, Perth, Sydney, Auckland, Nadi, Los Angeles and Vancouver. Locations are set, dates of tickets are not. She gave me the tickets with great flair. I noticed that they were not in the correct name. Duh. I was just about ready to strangle the woman. She then had to re-order them all over again by which time there was not enough time to order the BritRail tickets but she said she would do that tomorrow, Saturday, when she assured me they were open. What a procedure!
