After nearly missing my flight (the train to Brussels airport took longer than expected, the airport was busier than expected, and I was searched very thoroughly at security (again) ), I arrived in London around 8am, where Lara was waiting for me in baggage.
We spent a good deal of time at Buckingham Palace, and The Globe, but had to see some sights like Big Ben from the bus. All in all, it was a great decision to take the bus tour- we saw basically all of London in about 4 or 5 hours!
Later that night we met our tour group for the first time, and then went to bed pretty early since our trip was to begin the next morning at 6am. First stop: Paris.
London Pub
After another train ride, we arrived at our hotel in time to check in for our tour and do a little sight seeing in London (of course stopping by a pub first while we waited for the local restaurants to open for lunch). We ate Indian food for lunch (London is supposedly the Indian food capital of the world), and really enjoyed it... Since our time was really limited in London, we went on a double-decker bus tour throughout the city. The tour allowed us to get on and off the buses whenever we wanted, so we were able to see most of london from atop the bus and the sights we really wanted to see up close. Bus tour
