...it was superb.  Fresh, enthralling, not an empty seat in the house.  Standing ovation at the end.  Even Jerry A. Powell said it was "fabulous"!  Oh, yes!  The actress who plays Nellie is perfect--the voice, the build, the sense of having tremendous fun on stage (as corny as Kansas in August, as normal as blueberry pie).  No one could not like this play.  Hijack a plane and come...

But all extra time to find the Vivian Beaumont Theater!  Lincoln Center is all torn up, a bit of a disaster.  No matter, it's worth it!

Off to the opening of the van Gogh show at MoMA, members' preview (thank God I joined,  but I bet it'll still be mobbed).
