When we go on a holiday, we hit the ground running. We got on the plane had our snack and then instead of watching all the new releases like we have normally done, mum made us at least try to go to sleep.

I was sitting next to Ashleigh and Liam with Aunty Robynne on the other side of Liam. At first I tried using the head rest thingy, that go round your neck, mum and dad has claimed the good ones, so that left us with the crappy ones. Ashleigh fell asleep pretty quickly and so did Liam after he got over the excitement over the games you can play on the TVs. As for me, well, I try heaps of positions. That included, sitting backwards, lying on the floor beneath the sets, laying my head on the table and the list goes on. Of all the positions I tried, I found that I got around 2 hours sleep.

2 hours sleep on an overnight plane is not good. Especially when Andrew Fisher is your tour guide. From the moment we got off the plane it was go, go, go. First we checked into the hotel; put all the bags in one room. Then we meet up with Karen and her family. We then all together went on the longest series of escalators. It was funny, and was better than the last time I did it. After the escalators we then went to a zoo. We saw ugly baboons and screeching lemurs which is always exiting.

We left the zoo when we had seen everything, (there is not much to see), and then we went to the peak tram and rode up. We all managed to strategically plan to get all the best window seats in the tram. :P !! We explored the views and the McDonalds and took the bus home when it began to drizzle.

Poor Liam was absolutely exhausted by this stage, so were the rest of us too. We went back to the YMCA and had a sleep which just recharged our batteries.

All of a sudden when I was in the middle of a great dream I heard banging on the door and realised it was almost 6:30pm, which was when we were meeting Karen and her family again for dinner. I=For a while we were all like walking zombies, but we got some food into us and we all had a good time. We ate some very weird looking things, but everything tasted great with one exception. We had this gross looking thing stuck on our table. I made a promise to myself to try everything these holidays, even if it was only a little bit. I tried this short, skinny, brown looking thing and it tasted like a fried twig or something.

Everything on the table was polished off within seconds, expect for the brown things. Then we strolled out past some stores when Ashleigh and I saw our future shoes. These really colourful, cool Sketchers. I fell unconditionally in love with them! But we had to let them go, because everyone was stopping for us to gaze at them.

Everybody but Mum, Robynne, Liam, Ash, Hayley and I, went to the night market. But the 6 of us decided enough was enough and we wanted an early night.
Ashleigh and I have our own room so we took some funny pictures and wrote our diaries and went to bed. We had a great night of sleep.
