We got a sleep in today. First though, last night we had to learn what that word meant. A sleep in is rare to us, but we welcomed the change. We dragged ourselves out of bed by 11:00am Australian time and 8:00am China time.

Getting 5 girls ready is a hard event. It should be an Olympic sport, and if it was we (Team Fisher) would lose. I take it as a personal challenge every morning that we are out the door on time and in this case at breakfast on time. But usually I give up, it's too hard. It used to be easy, mum had already set our clothes out and it was just a mater of getting them on and doing each other's hair. But in time mum gave up on that too.
Around 9:00 we got out the door and down to breakfast. It was a buffet -  delicious Pancakes, fried rice, dumplings, sausages, yoghurts  you name it we ate  it. I was 40 kilos before breakfast and after breakfast I was 50 kilos after breakfast. We ate until we couldn't move. We need to eat our weight in food, so that when we go to school we can skip lunch.

Sim cards. Sim cards in Chinese is Sim Card. So it can't be too hard to translate and buy one if it's the same word right? Ha, you go try. Mum and Amy spent ages there buying one last night and we went back today to charge the card. Even with some 'unhelpful' help from me, it took about an hour. But finally, finally we were out of there with about $10 AUS, on our phones to spend.

"Can we go to the Pearl Market?"
"I want to spend money!"
"Mum, what are we doing today? Are we going shopping?"
"I am buying for all my friends. When can I? Today?" Elyse was desperate to go shopping. Dropping hints left, right and center. When she went through all the hints, she was direct. So we wandered around Bei Jing trying to find the market near out hotel. We found it after about half an hour of walking. Elyse bought 2 pens, 2 phone key rings, a sharpener and told us she was saving her self for the big markets. Amy walked out without a purchase and Hayley with a few pens and phone chains. I got the sale of the day award with bargaining a pair of jei jais (REALLY GOOD GOOGLES) from 80 yuan for 4 to 60 yuan for 4. Pretty good huh? I know.
I have now got a new pair of trackies and some really pretty phone chains.

Mum was tired so she had  sleep. But of course if mum is tired so are the rest of us. I think it is because she doesn't want us to bother her when she is sleeping. So we all go to sleep. (But I really did enjoy my sleep. Shh!) We had one for  1 and a half hours. When the alarm went off, mum thought we had an hour to get ready and hit the snooze button a couple of times. Too many times, because when we finally dragged ourselves out of bed, Rebecca rang us to tell us she was waiting for us in the lobby. And I thought that getting 5 girls out the door who were wide awake was a problem. Waking them up is harder. But if they get grumpy and start crying-even harder. (cough, cough elyse, cough)

Dinner was great, once we got out of the door and found a good looking restaurant. Rebecca and Sammy ordered for us and they showed some good choices in what they choose. A few weird yuck ones, but mainly all good.

We spent most of the time laughing and telling funny stories. It was a great night. We had ice-creams after dinner but only me, Hayley and Amy. Everyone else said it was too cold. (I agree, but you can't pass up an ice-cream!)
In the hotel we chilled out. Tomorrow we get another sleep it. Weird huh? Two in a row......
