Good Evening Friends and Family-

Well, in just 2 days, I will depart for Turkey, Tajikistan and Ukraine.  I know some of you have been hearing about this for quite awhile, but you know how much I love to travel and explore this wonderous world of ours.

This travel site is new for me, though I have been wanting to do one for quite sometime.  It is wonderful!  I think I finally found the interface I like the best, but I am still learning how to use it to the fullest potential.

One feature I love is that it shows a world map and plots out all the places one has visited.  I put in some of my destinations just to try it out, but I have not put info of those destinations.  Thus far, I have only put a fraction of the 26 (soon to be 29) countries I've visited, and it says I've seen 7% of the world.

I have journaled every single trip I have ever taken, and I'm so thankful to have done so.  I have a shelf full of cool travel journals at home, and I hope to slowly add some of those entries, along with great places to see and things to do.  I hope this helps people in their own travels.

So, this is my first public entry to all of you.  I have been testing the email feature on here, and it doesn't seem to be super reliable or fast.  However, I think whenever I add a new entry along my journey, it will send out an update.  If you wish to delete, please do so.  I don't want to add to the inundation of emails we all get on a daily basis!

The ultimate goal of this trip will be to meet up with our director and 4 occupational therapists in Ukraine and work in an orphanage.  On the way, I hope to see some great other places and meet my friend, Chris, in Tajikistan.  Istanbul will be on my own, and I just found out during my layover in NYC, I get to cross paths with a very dynamic soul from my past.  Kat Hendrix was one of our students when I worked at UIndy in the mid 90's.  She is now working her way to be a major player in the human rights activism arena.  Did I say she is dynamic??

I would greatly appreciate prayers for each of you in whatever form you pray during this time.  I look forward to sharing this with you as I explore and find out more about the world as a whole.

My love and friendship to each and every one!
