Now in Sudbury, known as the Highway town or more kindly known as Sylvain`s hometown. Considering this is my first entry in Canada, a week after I left the UK, I think I should probably start at the beginning, 7 days ago.
Sylvain is a Canadian friend of ours from London and he has spent the summer over here in Canada, so Brent and I thought it would be a good start to our holiday to come and visit him first and see some of Canada.
First stop Torronto - getting picked up at the airport by Sylvain and Brent in the biggest car/van thing ever was just the beginning of all things BIG. We drive into downtown Torronto and park up at Sylvain mates appartment block. Such a lovely couple who welcome us in their amazing apartment right in the center of downtown Torronto, just moments away from all the shops, the Sky Dome home to the Blue Jays, Torronto's very own baseball league, the CN tower and I'm sure tonnes more if we had the time to see it. So yes we went to see a Baseball game. The Blue Jays against the Kansas City Royals thrashing them 6-2. Not forgetting first to mention having the bestest biggest 'hotdog ever' from Mikes hotdog stand outside the stadium. A hotdog with all the pickles, relish, ketchup and mustard you can imagine. Yum-my! Anyway the game, it's everything like you see in the movies too with the hotdog boys and beer boys walking the stands shouting, 'be-eer, anyone fancy an icccee cold be-eer' or hot doooooog!!... It was gold! Well that was Friday night, Saturday we leave for Ottawa, not without first visiting the CN tower, the highest structure IN THE WORLD!.
Oops, I can't beleive I nearly forget to mention the best day ever we had at Niagara Falls, My second morning in Canada, we take the local Greyhound Bus 3 hours to Niagara Falls. Apart from having the amazing natural beauty of the falls right there, there is so much more.. Amusement parks, IMAX, Movieland, Mini Golf, burger joints, beer joints, hotdog stands, everything tacky it was right there at the Falls. After first walking around taking in the tack we get on the Maid of the Mist boat with our blue poncho's and Misty the Bear. The boat heads directly into the Falls. A definite recommendation to see the Falls up close. If your ever visiting the Falls, very very cool. Falls done, it's beer o'clock. Yes it's after 4 oclock, a very reasonable hour we think. Now beer in this country doesn't just come in pint glasses it comes in BIG glasses or BIG jugs... so we thought, hey as we are doing it all BIG the beer is gotta be big too and of course we have to eat too. Ok, BIG pizzas please. : -) It ended up being a really fun day.. Until the bus journey back.. Argghh!! Oh well, we'll try not to think about 16 hour bus journey we have booked to go to Boston in a weeks time.. doh!
Anyway, back to leaving Torronto and off to Ottawa. 5 hours or so drive down to Ottawa, which is Canada's capital city for those who didn't know. Again lovely friends of Sylvain's put us up for the night and as it's a Saturday night take us out too. Fantastic night at a club called Heaven then to some crazy after club, because of course we didn't want to go home yet. Then back to Chris's place where we basically do nudda for the day which is fine because it's raining and it's we're a day of rest. We did however in the next couple of days explore the town, walking around and checking out the Parliament Buildings and shops.
Day 7 (today) we head to Sudbury which is where you are saying thank goodness the blog ends.
From here we are doing a spot of relaxing, me catching up on some long over due exercise and those bits and bobs before going to Sylvains cottage for his birthday party, Corn Roast and lots more of exciting adventures. I will try and up date more frequently in future so not to bore you with a weeks worth in one hit. So if you dare to check in again.
Salut, :-)

About to climb the CN tower
The highest point you can visit is the sky pod is 147 stories high (447 metres)... Now that's pretty scary, but what was really scary was the glass floor down at 114 stories (346 metres). Sylvain and I, only just, shaking at the knees walked on to it, took the photo and off again. Brent just a tad afraid of heights couldn't even go there. Believe me, it was high and not for the faint hearted.Oops, I can't beleive I nearly forget to mention the best day ever we had at Niagara Falls, My second morning in Canada, we take the local Greyhound Bus 3 hours to Niagara Falls.
