A week of lasts

Mood: sad, scared, excited.
Well, after many months of planning, we have come to the point where the adventure officially begins.
To bring you up to date, about july last year - after a trip to New Zealand - I decided that i wanted to explore the world. Giving myself 10 months to save, I dedicated myself to as many hours of working as possible, while spending as little money as possible! If i had any spare time, I would be searching the internet for inspiration, ideas and advise. The end result being (if i make it all the way that is) a little over 9 months travelling Europe, Africa and America. Hopefully I can keep a firm hold over my budget!
Currently, my rough itinerary is as follows:
May and June: Greece + islands, Germany, Austria and Italy
July: Italy, France and Spain
August: Spain, Morocco and Portugal
September: Spain, France, Switzerland, Germany and Belgium
October: Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Czech Republic, Austria and Africa
November: Africa
December: Africa, UK and maybe Poland + Eastern Europe
January: unsure, maybe Ireland + Scotland, USA
February: USA + Hawaii
My airline ticket is all paid for so at least i know i can get home.
As the title of this entry suggests, this week has been about the lasts of everything: last day of work, last homecooked meal, last goodbyes etc. I think that all these lasts made me get a little bit nervous and realy realy sad! By the end of this week i was asking myself "why the hell am i leaving everyone? what was i thinking??"
But after working my arse off for this experience, there is no way I am passing this up. I would be so mad with myself if i did! So here we go. Out into the big wide world...
