We ended up getting off a little before Aonang because we saw a beach and thought that it would be as good as any
! It turned out to be really quiet and was really relaxing. Didn't have to fight over the trees for a bit of shade either. The beach went so far out and you could walk for ages in the sea without getting out of your depth, which also meant the water was fairly warm and refreshing. On the beach there were loads of little crabs making balls of sand and disappearing down into the sand - sounds strange but rather fascinating to watch! The day went so quickly and we ended up leaving the beach about 4.30pm. We then had to flag down another sorngtaaou which turned out to be easier than we thought and headed back into Krabi town and back to our hotel.
In the evening, after getting off more sand we headed into town to get dinner. Luckily just after we arrived at the restaurant the heavens opened and a storm arrived -lightning, thunder and all! This did stop us wandering round town at all after dinner and instead we dashed back to the guesthouse quickly!
It turned out to be another sunny day today so we decided, after a while, to make the most of it and head to the beach. We never no how long the sun will last at the minute because our weather apps just say constant storms! But first we walked into town to a little bakery to get something for breakfast. Jack had a double chocolate croissant and I had banana bread which was really good! From there we went to find the sorngtaaou which I guess are like little shuttle/public bus but is essentially a pickup truck. It does a fixed route and you can get off anywhere and pay a set price. Very handy and cheap way to get around, but they do tend to fill them up a bit. This time we were heading to Aonang which we knew had a beach and a nice little town.
