Where I stayed
There was no need to hang around the hotel so we packed up and hit the road. The weather was looking really bad so we were feeling a bit sad that the sun was not shining for our convertible. We later learnt that the weather here is usually overcast in the morning and then clears up for the afternoon.
After an hour or so on the road the sun made its appearance YAH!!!!!!!! The top came down and we had the wind in our hair. The first part of the drive was around high cliffs and there looked like some amazing houses tucked away below the road.
The traffic was quite heavy and definitely all tourists. You needed to watch for cars pulling out from photo op spots.
The scenery was amazing and reminded us a lot of home. Lou started to get pretty excited about getting home.
We stopped for lunch at this cute Cafe over looking the sea. Was lovely sitting out in the sun, but unfortunately the food was massively over priced and we felt a bit ripped off.
Back on the road and with wind in our hair we pointed our nose to Pismo Beach. Arrived and we were very impressive (full marks to Si on booking of hotel). The hotel is right on a cliff and has the most amazing views. You can then walk down the cliff stairs to the beach. The very nice reception man upgraded us (Yippeeeeeee) and when I say upgrade we mean upgrade. The room has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a lounge with a fire and a full kitchen.
We decided we had had enough of restaurant food so headed off to the supermarket and got some yummy food for dinner. After lots of delicious food and some good ole Project Runway we tucked up in bed.
