Antalya is a gorgeous seaside town - sparkling green water, yellow cliffs, snow capped mountains and bright sunshine. Pity its winter.
In a fit of insanity, we hire a car and promptly discover that petrol is 3 dollars a litre. Bevan has now perfected driving on the right (his lack of veering into the left lane gives us away as foreigners) and can now find the 3rd lane on a 2 lane road. And we even get to see some amazing sights into the bargain:

Aspendos, famed for its reconstructed functioning theatre - altogether dissapointing.

Silyon, a ruined city on a flat hilltop with views to city and sea. Accompanied by goats and local women goat herders. My favorite site - especially because the citizens were called Sillyeis.

Perge, a huge stadium. Bevan declined a challenge of a stadia-length sprinting race, but accepted the challenge of a gladiator fight. Unfortunately the arena was underwater.

Termessos, a city lost amongst thick undergrowth. After a lot of clambering through prickly bushes we discovered a well worn path. Amazing theatre still standing, that had special doors for letting in wild animals for shows!

Karain Cave, inhabited from 500,000 BC - a real caveman cave!
