We have a lot of plans for sightseeing in Warsaw - parks, gardens, museums and churches. We make it as far as the first park on the first day and suddenly decide that indoor attractions are a much betrter call ...  it is -16 degrees outside.
Luckily Warsaw has plenty of interesting (if horrifying) museums thanks to its rather unlucky history... being sandwiched between Germany and Russia doesn't make for peaceful centuries.  The vodka is also very warming, and surprisingly drinkable. The local 'bison grass' vodka tastes a lot better than it sounds, with a blade of the grass in each bottle (the ultimate vegetarian version of the tequila worm?)
