Xmas with Friends

We came to Christchurch to visit my German friend Michi and her Kiwi Boyfriend Brendon and of course to celebrate Christmas Kiwi-Style which is great....very different from Germany and the US, but fun. First of all it's beach-weather here and it's light out until 9:30pm....second the Xmas treats include delicious lamb instead of turkey followed by the famous Kiwi dessert "Pavlova". But most of all it's great to celebrate with friends and eat & drink for 3 days straight...
Before Xmas we escaped to the Bank Peninsula to get into the christmassy mood with camping and barbecue...the German sausages were a nice treat and the ever-flowing beer even better. Good to spend some days German-style :) More thumbnails ...
