after the last email i saw met these lovely 2 filipino girls from manila and went to dinner with them. we had a lovely time, these people are lovely! and the yogurt house sells fab home made yogurt so i finally get a fix!
we got the bus doen to manil al the next day - was a crazy road and i am not convinced about the reversing (to get out of the way for other cars) round corners in a bus with a huge cliff edge! but ho hum!
had lunch in bagio as one of the girls family was there, went to a cool arty restraunt it rocked (apprently designed by a veryfamous filipino film set designer....)
anyhow i then went on to the white beach of mindoro island ( afurther 4 hrs from manila!) it was ok but really it was so comerciallised it could have been the med
anyhow - walking up and down the beach after a relxing massage for a pound i spotted a guy in a 118 vest! as you could expect no less from me, a vest as good as this required a mention! turned out him and his mates were from wales and he has a kushty job out here working for them on a wester contract! earning the pound and spending the peso what a way to live (as well as being put up in one of the most exclusive areas of manila all expences paid!) anyway we all got on so well we met up for drinks later. before which i had dinner with a deaf couple i had met on the boat - an interesting conversation via paper over dinner but boy i was ready to make some noise! but boning a fish is so messy!!! how did adam make it look so easy when he did it for me in bohal??
so drinks at the bar in the form of the famous "mindoro sling"! which is basically half a litre of rum plus other stuff taken by the shot glass in quick succession! aggghhhhh! and together we got through 5???!! no wonder we were all so ill, but it was a very entertaining evening mainly playing guess the lady boy! man i wish i had their legs! these dudes where hot! but our main concern was where everything goes when they where a skirt that would have been too short for me at the age of 5!!
so next day and i wake up with about 150 bites. i think my mattress in my nipa hut thing was infested with fleas (i was desparate to get the cheapest room in town...) but ho hum. feeling rough and itch i find the perfect mango juice before jumping in the sea to sort out my head. meet with the boys as we piece the night together..... but they have a spare bed space in their room so i movein with them! no more bites for me!
basically the day is left at a snorkel and a swim though we are all very confused at the number of people that seem to know us.......
excellent dinner..... fish is the best followed by a alchololess boogie! before bed! a tough day on the beach ahead of us tomorrow and all we need and early night!
snorkelled at the coral garden this morning (3 pounds each including the boat there!) and i saw my frst octopus!! he was one cool dude! he changed colour when the other fishes came close to him!now back in manila to do some day trips and catch up with the filipino girls.
this country is ace and i will definately be back here before long..... maybe i can get a job with 118 if only for the vest!!!
take care my beauties

a banka
! but never mind i dont really have time to get much further and the boat crossing in a large bangka was an adventure in itself!! anyhow - walking up and down the beach after a relxing massage for a pound i spotted a guy in a 118 vest! as you could expect no less from me, a vest as good as this required a mention! turned out him and his mates were from wales and he has a kushty job out here working for them on a wester contract! earning the pound and spending the peso what a way to live (as well as being put up in one of the most exclusive areas of manila all expences paid!) anyway we all got on so well we met up for drinks later. before which i had dinner with a deaf couple i had met on the boat - an interesting conversation via paper over dinner but boy i was ready to make some noise! but boning a fish is so messy!!! how did adam make it look so easy when he did it for me in bohal??

famous sunset over manilla bay
! anyway the evening ended (we believe) with a large number of friends and a considerable amount of pole dancing attempted by all! a very funny night - still not sure how i got home but at least i didnt get a tatoo!!so next day and i wake up with about 150 bites. i think my mattress in my nipa hut thing was infested with fleas (i was desparate to get the cheapest room in town...) but ho hum. feeling rough and itch i find the perfect mango juice before jumping in the sea to sort out my head. meet with the boys as we piece the night together..... but they have a spare bed space in their room so i movein with them! no more bites for me!
