basically an entry just to let you know i have arrived safely! well who wouldnt when you are upgraded to business class (upstairs!) on the flight hey??!!! especially after 12 hours in hong kong airport - though i did splash out 12.50gbp for the travellers lounge so i could shower and eat as much as i like and use the net! wow what a way to trave though i did feel a little out of place amongst all the suited up men playing on their laptops reading the finacial times! i was wearing my shorts, teva sandels and a stained smelly top in which i had been wearing for over 25hours by the time we boarded!!nice! but so much fun playing with the seat and listening to diana ross and the supremes and the carpenters as well as a bit of jacko and guns n roses! what a much beter selection the have here! but boy i have never seen so much stuff come off the flight at baggage claim. there wee people with big trolleys like the ones you see them cart the food when shelf stacking at tescos! and full! i saw a TV, and electric flask, and a gazeebo of all things! crazy! - much like their driving....... rent a car? i think not!!! its life threatening crossing the road (let alone arguing with a truck as to which lane you are in!) they seemed to get 5 lanes in a marked 3 lane road on the route in fromthe airport!! nuts!
but got a taxi to the hotel - a double with shared bathroom for 6 squids a nite unfortunately the didnt have anymore dorm beds for half the price! but i think (if i can get transport during holy week...) i will head off after 2 nights! but i have met a guy from manchester whos 30th birthday is today and so we are going to go out and see the town later! so should be fun!
