well i am now back in sydney having an excellent time staying with an old school friend of jons, zoe and her fiance alex! I am very conveiniently situated just 10 mins out of the city in a little suburb called lilyfield which is fab. having a blissful time as i have my own room (no snorer WOO HOOOOO) and a big double bed which is ace!
sydney is such and amazing place and there is certainly a unique buzz to this city. done a few bits and bobs since i got here..... been to the aquarium and found nemo.... up the observatory to learn about the stars of the southern hemisphere, up the pylons of the harbour bridge, walked round the botanical gardens, visited the clocks in the queen victoria building, been to mrs macquaries pt and chair, and taken about 30 photos just of the opera house!!! well it is a beautiful building and i want to make sure i have at least one excellent shot with the right light..... and i was really good to meet up with ben from africa for a few days here.
i have also been to bondi beach via watsons bay which was real nice - till this big black cloud came and it rained cats and dogs!!! i managed to get on a bus in time - but well i had to get off at some point and it was still raining so through hyde park i was washed!! ho hum! today the weather is stunning not a cloud in the sky!
then a trip to the blue mountains with adriana another girl on my africa trip was taken. we spent a blissful 3 days up there touring the area, hitching lifts and hiking lots, plus going down the worlds steepest railway! man i was scared!
i have now been to manly beach - twice! though not looking any browner! and have to say that i much prefer it to bondi, which i think is a little over rated. i have also been to the nsw art gallery - it is so nice having the time to do this! i have also been back to the botanical gardens to spot the fruit bats and the cockatoos there!
so that and a whole lot of visiting the public house up the road is sydney for me - but i have to say i love it and had the best time with zo and alex! cheers for having me guys!
