Finally, our vacation begins! It feels like we have been planning this trip for a long time and the day has finally arrived. After a short nap from around midnight to 2:00am, we woke up and drove to Pearson Airport in Toronto. Our time waiting at the baggage drop-off and U.S. customs went by quickly and easily (although the man in front of us in line got fully searched!) Now, we are on our direct flight, AC-1276 to San Juan, Puerto Rico.

I have a great window seat near the wing, and Poolie is sitting next to me (he always lets me have the window seat!) Since our flight left around 7:00am, we could still see the moon - a big, bright full moon - the moon out the window to the right, and the sun rising on my left. Now, I can see layers upon layers of white, fluffy clouds that look like drifts of snow. Thankfully, there is no snow where we're headed - I am so happy to escape the snowy weather that we've been having back home!

Re: Stunning photos Loolie.
I get so excited for flights at first just for that reason - I love feeling like I am on top of the clouds, on top of the world... the novelty starts to wear off though around the 5th or 6th hour mark when your body starts to ache and you just want to get off the plane ;) Mind you, I've never taken any super long flights!
