I was a little bummed (only a little) that I would miss most of the Fall season in Atlanta - it's my favorite.  When I arrived in Innsbruck it quickly turned my frown upside down.  The leaves are changing colors, and with the mountains in the background and the nip in the air - Austria makes for a perfect Fall experience.

Innsbruck is very quaint, and there are mountains peaking around every corner.  Most everything was closed on Sunday, so I decided to trek it up the hill to the Alpenzoo.  It's the highest zoo in Europe, and I believe it because I kept walking, up and up and up.  It was a beautiful Fall day, and most of the animals were out of their homes.

After the zoo I did a little laundry and went for a jog for the first time in a month.  There is a great path right along the water.  I must have been running slow - I was running along the path humming to the Eurythmics, and staring at the mountains in the distance when a little boy whizzed by me on a Unicycle.  I'm not sure - but I can't imagine you can go fast on one of those things.  I must have been humming loudly, because the little boy passed me, and turned his head fully around and grinned.  Maybe he was showing off - I was very impressed, especially with the head turn and keeping his balance!

I'm alone in my travels now... and have to admit that I would likely have been extremely lonely if I had spent the 2 months alone as I originally planned.  It is nice to have some solitude, but I really do not think I opened my mouth yesterday more than to say "Danke."
