One time I went up for skiing and it rained the whole time! grrr. Still though, I got to spend a great time with my sister while she was going to University there. I remember the winters been absolutly stark freezing however the fall was a very beautiful time. The whole family took a trip to visit my sister and the hike and drives were peaceful and classicly coloured with yellow and red leaves.  The St. Jacobs area is considered a menonite region. A unique religious pocket where you will see women in long dresses with kerchifs in their hair and men wearing black clothes and long beards. Horse and carriages are not altogether uncommon either. The St Jacobs market has everything and one could easily spend a whole day there sampling the wares from perogies to fabrics and bumper stickers.
