Trick or Treat! Here I am in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The flat lands and the praries. There is snow on the ground, it's pretty much winter here now. There is a lot of explore in this city and province, especailly coming from an almost opposite setting in such a remote mountain valley village.

I have a great feeling about this place. The people are so friendly, they have so much heart.  There are lots of outdoorsy things to do like going to the lakes and Heritage Site such as Wanuskewin. The city puts on activities, there is a wonderful artist community, and the university campus is beautiful (limestone architecture which reminds me of home in Kingston).

Some quick linguistic tips if you are travelling in the rectangular province of Saskatchewan.
A bunny hug is what they call a hoodie.
Wobbly pop is beer.
Tire biters are people who are only interested in you because of your car or truck (maybe they have this term elsewhere but there's hundreds of them out here - ha ha!)
Saskatchewanians are called Samsquanchers or Samsquancheniese.
Saskatooon is Saskamabush, Toon Town, Stoon. And they are famous for Saskatoon Berry Pie.
