We took a little drive north today. It was mostly a day of rest in Moose Jaw but we still covered around 300km.  We heard on the radio that the causeway in Buffalo Pound Park had collapsed and our route was consequently detoured through some less traveled highways.  There is some really beautiful scenery on highway 367, 19, and 15.  One spot was surprisingly hilly but there was a lot of golden plains too.  I just love the colours of the fields, ranging anywhere from vivid green to lemon yellow or maroon.  We listened to CBC radio 2 and went through towns with names like "Eyebrow" and "Elbow" - seriously, those are official town names.

I've only seen Saskatoon in the winter before so it's really nice to see this city again 'in green'. There are lots of elm trees and the dog and I took a good long walk.  We are staying in an amazing hotel called the Castle on the River.
