This is definitly dusk in the tropics; soft winds cool the heat of the day and palms whisper.  The day was hot but a perfect temperature for me. In contrast to the winter elements of Canada which we left behind on a stone-cold winter morning, nothing could be lovlier than colourful flowers and bright sun.  I feel so uplifted to be here.
A yellow woodpecker landed in the palm across from our balcony, I"ve never seen a vibrant bird like this before.
La Ceiba is unlike anything I've seen before either. It seems to be growing - construction everywhere! Even here at this hotel.  Tourism is what makes this town the third largest in Honduras.  The value of tourists was exemplified when a police truck escorted our bus from the airport. I've seen a few rifles today, at the airport, on the street, and on the security guards around the beach.  We plan to do a city tour maņana.
