It took me 3 days to get to Bariloche hitchhiking (for the first time in Argentina) from Mendoza. Hitchhiking is a good way to meet local people, speak Spanish, visit places you wouldn't see if you had travel by bus, and of course it's a way cheaper than the bus ! (which is quite expansive in Argentina).

Bariloche is a small, quiet, nice and touristy town in the Patagonian Andes. It looks like Switzerland, mountains, forest and lakes. I stayed at Laura 's place with two other couch surfers from France, Celine and Bertrand, crazy brother and sister travelers ! Laura's home was one a the best places to live I've seen in Argentina, lost in the forest, view on the lake and not so far from the city center. We tried to cook her a french speciality, a Tartiflette. But since we didn't find Roblochon (a french cheese) and forgot the cream, we did a gratin dauphinette, a kind of mix with gratin dauphinois...

The did some hikes around, the view from the "cerro campanario" is known as one of the best of Patagonia, and it deserves its reputation ! We also went to the cerro Cathedral in a 2 days hike, a famous place for rock climbers and with a beautiful little lake, especially at sunset.
