I have now returned to Prince George, BC after my three month "Grand Tour of America (Canada and the United States). Before starting a video blog of this trip I would like to finish the Hawaii blog.

Waimea Canyon: Kauai's Breath Taking Wonder
There are canyons and there are canyons. In the second category among others are the Grand Canyon, Arizona, Gorge du Verdun in southern France and the Waimea Canyon
The Waimea Canyon, along with the Na Pali Coast, are the two most remarkable geographical features on the island of Kauai.
A leisurely drive north into the interior of Kauai from the seaside towns of Waimea or near-by Kekaha on the south-western coast culminates at Waimea Canyon, 4,120 feet above sea level. The reward is stunning vistas, including the dramatic Kalalau Lookout.
As I look at my photos, I am one more time amazed at the beauty of this canyon and I am thankful for photography and blogging as they help in preserving this wonderful memory.
