Date of Trip: August 16 - 17, 2007
This was my first return to Victoria since our departure from this beautiful city in August of last year.
In showing Glenn and Dianna all my favourite places, the city was even more beautiful than I remembered. That was reinforced by the enthusiasm which my travel companions showed for the charms of the downtown area.
Despite the spotty weather we got things off to a good start by eating at the Noodle Box on Douglas Avenue.
A funky kind of place that serves Thai food in a fast food format, the scrumptuous dishes we ordered got everyone into a great mood and it was smooth sailing from there on in.

I kept encouraging Glenn to open up a franchise of the Noodle Box in chic Rochester Hills, Michigan. It would be a can't miss concept and surely it must be more interesting and less stressful than public accounting.
Glenn and Dianna went to Butchart Gardens which of course is something not to be missed when visiting Victoria. I have attached some of her photos.
My travelog: VICTORIA with 13 blogs describes the charms of this city.
If you like flowers, also from last year's blogs:
VICTORIA Blog: No. 9 Barbara's Flower Shots
VICTORIA Blog: No.17 Butchart Gardens - Photos to Make Winter Go By
On Friday, with reservations in hand, we headed for Swartz Bay and the Queen of Vancouver Island. It would take us across the Georgia Strait to Tsawwassan and Vancouver International Airport to meet Barbara who was flying in from the Queen Charlotte Islands.
