On the Road Again
Peace Liard Circle Tour http://www.bcadventure.com/adventure/circletours/peace.htm Today I hope to drive to Dawson Creek, BC which is Mile 0 of the Alaska Highway. The Liard Highway branches off from the Alaska Highway near Fort Nelson, BC. It is an unpaved, desolate highway which goes hundereds of miles into the North-West Territories. I have been able to find very little information about this road. (Highway 77 in B.C. and No. 7 in the NWT) I hope to change that by blogging my drive into the North West Territories. The initial part of the Liard Highway will take me to Nahanni National Park - at least the information center, for this is strictly a wilderness park. From there my aim is to discover the area around Yellowknife, the capital of the North-West Territories. Any further blogging about this trip will be done in the EXCURSIONS blog. I expect the next blog won't be filed until I get to Yellowknife.
