On the day we arrived it was a bit of a scorcher, and the hostel was a fair way out from the centre, so we just stayed in (we got there in the arvo so it wasn't too bad)
2nd day, A LOT colder. And rainy. We attempted to go on a free tour of Prague, but both of us found it to be fairly boring about ½ an hour into it... We couldent really understand/hear the guide, and he'd stop at every-single-bloody-statue for about 10mins.
So, we ditched that and went on our own adventure.
The old town square was very impressive indeed. All medieval buildings, extremely well preserved.
We went up one of the towers of the Charles bridge. View was amazing! You could see all of the old town, and Prague Castle.
We walked across Charles bridge, and then onto the castle. The castle was huge - so huge, you weren't exactly sure youd made it cause it extended so far and had a big cathedral in it. But very nice all the same.
3rd day is a bit hazy now (getting a bit slack with these entries...) Lewis has informed me we went to see a tower, but, as usual it was covered in scaffolding. But we had a nice (LONG) walk along the river and onto to this little island.
Prague just simply didn't grab me unfortunately... Buildings were lovely, but just something about it... Ah well, we went and had an ok time (and caught some sort god knows hardcore virus, but that's for another entry)
