Off the Boat and on the Island

We are slowly but surely moving closer to Athens - one island at a time. We are currently about 3 hours away from Athens by sailbot (our ship) and one hour away by speed boat taxi. This island is a stopover on the way to every other island. But it is very charming and calm. What makes it different is change in architecture - the have red tile roofs!! This island is less expensive.... We had pouring down rain this morning so we had to cancel our walking tour and then we went out on a sight seeing boat but couldn't see anything because the flaps were down to protect us from the weather... kind of crazy! We couldn't wait to get off and start walking on our own. More shopping! A little lunch! And tonight is the 'captain's dinner' where I am sure we will be the hit of the show. We are going to 2 more islands tomorrow - Aegena also known as Egina - only 16 miles from Athens and the Captain said this afternoon he is also taking us to another island tomorrow - so it should be a very crazy day! In less than 48 hours we will be on our way home.

Coming home
I can't believe the last place you where had marble streets that surely would be hell to drive on in snow HA HA! It sounded like it was quite beautiful but then again it was a political town we know about that stuff. I can't believe your trip is only 48hrs more, I kinda like this checking out what you all are doing each day but I do miss being able to pick up the phone and talk to ya.
Love ya
Pam
