Okay let's see... Monday was a good day. My professors brought champagne to class to celebrate my birthday! Haha this was hilarious, I was saying nazdravi and drinking with my profs in the middle of the day. They even bought us a whole other bottle for later! Oh Prague, you have spoiled me. After studio I had yoga. I just love that yoga's on Monday, it's the perfect way to start the week. After yoga Teen and I went to hang out with Teen's NYU friends that are also studying abroad in Prague. We checked out this new spot that was a mixture of a bar and a library/book store... this was Sebastian and his friends regular hang-out. After my hot wine and a few beers we went to U Kirna where there was live jazz and good vegetarian dishes. It is also attached to a hostel called Sir Toby's, which is where the NYU kids live. I've really been wanting to listen to some jazz, so this was nice... even though I still want to go to a legit jazz club sometime. We chilled there for a bit, grubbed a bit, drank a beer, met new friends, and then moved on to a placed called Bongo Bongo. All these places were so new to us because it was on the complete other side of the river (opposite of where we life)... so it was nice to venture out. The last place we went was a little rugged and run down, but that's just the way I like it. That's what makes it so real ;) We had to leave early so we could catch the last metro that runs at midnight. We made it there justtttt in time. When we got home we chilled for a bit and hit the sheets. I had so much fun, it was nice hanging out with different people... they were a lot of fun.

Tuesday I just had my Czech language class. Ugh it made me realize how much I need to study Czech... so I spent a good portion of time after class writing note cards (when I wasn't procrastinating). Then I ventured out to the mall near the pension (Flora). It was nice to go out alone, because it is more of an adventure when you get lost. I found it fine and bought this really awesome travel pack. I ended up spending a little more then I wanted (about $195), but it was totally worth it because it is really big and sturdy... I can't wait to use it to go to Dublin this weekend. After the mall I was to go home and then go back out with Teen and hit up the Piano Bar. Well after I left the mall I took a couple wrong turns (to walk home to the pension). I had the directions in my backpack the whole time, but I knew the general direction of where I was going and figured I would just 'get lost' and find my way. I'm glad I did, it was a nice walk. Plus, once you see the baby tower (TV tower), you can almost never get lost haha. Then I realized I was walking int he complete opposite direction when I pasted the Piano Bar.. haha. But that's me, directionally-challenged... I working to get past that though :) When I finally got home I didn't see anyone anywhere and then knocked on the Emilys'' door and everyone was huddled in there hanging out. People were going out clubbing and then at that point Teen and I didn't even feel up to going out to Piano Bar anymore. It's okay though, we cooked some food downstairs with our new hotplates in the basement! We hung out for a while... most of the kids in the literature class had papers they were writing, so they were cramming and focused on that. When the groups that went out clubbing came back we all chilled in Rebekah's room. They were pretty drunk... someone even came to our room to tell us to quiet down haha- oops. It ended in a very fun night though.. nothing could ruin our fun.

Okay okay so I have to talk about Teen's big news!!! Last week Em met some director who is working on a film about the mermaid woman. He needed someone for the costume design and all the art coordinations. Em gave him Teen's info and long story short- she is the art director for this full-length feature film!! This is so perfect for her, it's just what she needed. I am so so so excited for her! I can't wait to hear more details from her, but now she is going to get a visa and stay is Prague till June. Teen is the most talented person I know, and she's only 21!

Today has been pretty chill as well. I had studio this morning and then Fashion Illustration. In studio we started brainstorming and designing our costumes for the play. I am very excited about this and I cannot wait to go pick out fabric!! I plan to use a lot of tulle. A huge tulle collar, large shoulders, the front of the dress will be tapered, and there will be a long train in the back. Underneath the long train will be layers and lots of tulle sewed on, there will be hooks to pull up the back of the dress and attach to my shoulders... since I am this sun, it will be like the shining sun in the daylight. In illustration we sketched our faces and put make-up on it (colored it with colored pencils). I'm pretty excited, my main color scheme will consist of yellows, oranges, and a little reds. It shall be a lot of fun.

I've been just chilling in studio for hours and hours, chatting, drawing, painting my nails haha, and now blogging. It's nice to just have some good ol' down time. I cooked some food- a mixture of rice and put this different kind of fake meat in it... it was pretty good.

So I got this really good idea from a friend (Chandler, I give the credit to you- you were an inspiration!)... she calls it- five senses Friday. Quote: "It's a fun way to reflect back on your week..and will make you notice and appreciate the simple things." So I've decided to start doing this in my blog, but maybe not on Fridays (just some point within the week). For an example, here is mine that I did earlier today:

Nasty instant coffee. I needed a pick-me-up.
Fingernail polish. I found that if I paint my nails it keeps me from biting them.
Clicking, taping, ticking of the keyboard as my friend types an extensive message to a far away friend.
The beautiful melody of Pete Yorn & Scarlett Johansson.
My studio desk cluttered in sketches, eraser suds, and a half-size dress-form covered in inspiration for my ‘Sun’ costume.
Prague’s natural light peaking through the window.
The warmth of my computer resting in my lap.
These hard, wooden studio chairs.

----Okay I'm signing off for tonight. So in closing I leave you with a Buddhist quote:
The greatest achievement is selflessness.
The greatest worth is self-mastery.
The greatest quality is seeking to serve others.
The greatest precept is continual awareness.
The greatest medicine is the emptiness of everything.
The greatest action is not conforming with the worlds ways.
The greatest magic is transmuting the passions.
The greatest generosity is non-attachment.
The greatest goodness is a peaceful mind.
The greatest patience is humility.
The greatest effort is not concerned with results.
The greatest meditation is a mind that lets go.
The greatest wisdom is seeing through appearances.
