. perfect for her. Anyways we later saddle up back in the van and were off for a 2 hour ride home. Then it was time to take a disco nap and get ready for the big night! :)
The nap never happened because we were planning out the night and dinner plans. We made some really sweet headband headpieces to wear out for the night... they turned out really pretty neat. Mandy bought me this bottle of vodka (said this is for tonight) and a huge bottle of multivitamin drink (and said this is for tomorrow)... haha what a clever girl. Corgan got me this huge chocolate turtle egg with a super sweet prize inside, it was awesome. Teen and Gina bought me this beautiful necklace from the glass fashion jewelry museum. I saw it there and said how I really liked it, Teen was keeping tabs apparently. They also got me this tiara and wrote "21 Birthday Princess" on it, how adorable. These girls are such good friends of mine, I love them dearly. Teen did my make-up for the night, it was extravagant. I wore my dress from the vintage shop that is electric blue velvet (like an ice skater outfit haha), my headpiece I made, the birthday tiara, and my lovely new necklace. I was decked out and ready to go, vodka shots and all. Our plans were to go to TinglTangl in Prague 1, eat there and then watch the drag show at the same place. I made reservations for 25, because we thought there were a lot of people coming..
. but then found out there were only 5 people, so we made Mandy call and change the reservation. Then more people came back to the pension so we had to change it again to 10 people. After the drag show our plan was to go to Friends (a gay bar that was having ladies night), it was close and still in Prague 1. After that bar we had plans to go to these other 2 clubs near our pension (Termix then Saints). Of course the actual plans never worked our fully. When we got to TinglTangl they said they didn't have seats for us for the show and only 5 for dinner... apparently there was some miscommunication when Mandy called and changed the reservation. I don't know, I won't get into that, but the man was suchhhhhh an asswhole, and upset everyone. We finally found a place to eat... luckily, because in Prague you pretty much HAVE to make reservations. Anyways the place we ate at was really pretty good and I was able to put some food in me before I continued to drink some more. We had a lot of fun here, I tried to speak some Czech to the waiter and he said I spoke good Czech... but I'm pretty sure he was just trying to be nice haha. Martin (Gina's Czech fling) met us at the restaurant and even brought me this mini chocolate egg with a little hippo toy in it, it was super nice of him. After dinner we were finally off to 'Friends'. On the way, Martin tried to get us to go to this rock concert... but we were supposed to be meeting everyone else at the club. When we finally got to Friends it was amazing. Everyone showed up! Some people came that I didn't even expect, and it really made my night... most of all they all talked about how much fun they had! And that really is the best present :). At the club I started off with Pat buying us some absinth shot... those were dangerous, you felt like you could not inhale... it was awesome haha. I met some really cool people. This one girl Daniela spoke English, which was really helpful because she was a very neat girl. We didn't leave the bar/club till superrrr late
. After we went to KFC that was open 24 hrs. I got some fries and a drink because I needed to sober up a bit. It was a party in KFC, tonnssss of people were there. We even ended up meeting a few folks. This one guy came up and sat beside me and he had a huge bottle of Captain Morgan... I don't remember what he was talking about, but then he proceeds to pour the bottle of CM in my Pepsi hahahaha. I went to drink it and I'm pretty sure there was more alcohol in there than actual Pepsi. Good thing Teen took it away, because I was trying to sober up haha. Next we met some Polish/ German dudes, Michael Anthony and Raphael. They were a little bit ridiculous and Raphael wrote me a German rap in my notebook hahaha. Long story short, they were crazy. Okay some things I don't remember, but Teen wrote in my notebook to remind me:.... "4:10AM Crazy guy some to sit with us at KFC- and pours A TON of Captain in your [my] Pepsi- I [Teen] took it way and gave you my 7up... you [I] said, "I wish I had my Pepsi, but now I just have this, like... weird water...". I [Teen] whisper to Annie- "it's 7up". BAHAHA! They were cracking up... Teen writes another note: "One hour after we have been in KFC eating, Lindsey looks at an empty plate, bewildered and yells 'WAIT, why did we go to KFC?!?!'" I guess I got confused at why we were at this mega house of meat-eaters. Haha I really have no idea how I forgot we were in KFC.
So we finally leave and it is soooo late/early in the morning that we are able to get on the metro because it has already started running for the next day
. Good thing though, because I really didn't want to wait on the damn tram.
The next day (Saturday) I actually felt really great... no hangover at all. Probably because everyone (mainly Teen) got me to eat some fries and such. I did wake up pretty late though. Then we all went to eat at Bohemian Bagel (best hangover food). The restaurant serves traditional breakfast... all the works. They completely screwed up my order and put bacon all over it (ugh it makes me shiver), so I had to take it back. They finally got it right... but goodness, my order is always the one to get fucked up. Oh well haha. After super late breakfast we went to Old Town Square and split this donut thing with Teen... haha yes, more food. When we finally got back to the pension we packed out things to head to the laundromat. This was the first time we were doing laundry since we have been in Prague, which is really sad haha. Going commando can only go on for so long. I really wanted to go back out Saturday night, but everyone else was still recovering from celebrating my birthday haha. So Teen cooked some food and we chilled out around the pension. I'm really excited because our pension just got a microwave and hot plates... this is nice because now we can actually cook where we live! I talked to Teen's family a little on Skype, they are so cute. I can't wait to meet them when they come to Prague, they are truly fantastic people.
Today I slept sooooo late- I didn't wake up till 2pm! Haha I had no reason to sleep late, but I figured- why not? Em B, Em C, Liz, Annie, Kendall, and I then decided to take a bus tour. We figured we should know more about Prague since we have been going other places for the weekends instead. The tour was pretty cool, we got to get out for an hour and walk around this awesome castle. After the tour we met up with our friend, Michael (Australian dude we met in Vienna) and ate at Amigos, this really amazingggggggg Mexican restaurant.
The day of my birthday (Friday) started with waking up late (8:20am) and 10 minutes to get ready. I don't know how I did it, but I even washed my hair. I may have set some sort of record for myself. Thankfully the van picked us up right at our pension... and we all fell asleep on the ride there, which was nice. Although the ride was superrrrr bumpy. When we got there we first went to a glass fashion jewelry museum. It was soooo neat, I loved seeing all the different stones, jewelry, and such. I bought my mom something here, I'm really excited about it (but I won't get into too many details because I know you are reading this mom). We then moved on to a couple other glass shops and a design school. It was very interesting to look at all the different things they can make from glass. At this one shop you could make your own jewelry from the glass beads. I was going to make this one, but the beads I wanted wouldn't have fit on the necklace the way I wanted them to. So instead I bought a necklace that was handmade with the handmade beads... it is really neat, I love it. At another shop I bought my Mamaw this cute little glass monkey that hangs from a flower pot or something in a window..
