A LP update:
Today rocked. I mean really rocked. We woke up in Nashville and had some Hampton Inn breakfast. Our plan was to do a segway tour, but once I realized there was no "real" segway tour and it was stinking hot today, we decided to hit up the Barnes and Noble in Brentwood to kill some time. We read up on decluttering (lp) and greek and roman mythology (db). It was nice and relaxing.
THEN, we headed over to Financial Peace Plaza wearing our Saints jerseys (as the Saints were playing the Titans tonight). We arrived around 12:30 to be greeted by Ms. Martha, the FPP's greeter. We had been emailing so she knew who we were when we arrived. She told us her story and offered us fresh baked cookies and treats. She even made cupcakes with coconut on top called "Debt Snowball Cupcakes" She was so sweet! She also took a picture of us and put it on twitter under the Dave Ramsey show twitter. We got to watch Dave Ramsey do his radio show from the waiting area. I was super excited!

In FPP's bookstore, I decided to purchase a book for Dave Ramsey to sign if he came out to greet us. I was buying the book and asked DB if he wanted his own book. He said we could share the book. I informed him that if we shared this book and Dave dedicated the book to both of us then he had to marry me BECAUSE if we broke up and it had his name it in it I would be really mad. This cracked DB up for some reason.

Then he took his first break and he came out to meet us! He signed the book I purchased there and talked to us for a few minutes.  We were discussing the Saints, Nola and other random stuff when he realized he was going to be late to go back on the air. He ran to the back and got there just in time. We almost made Dave late! We did tell Dave the story of when DB and I started dating and I told him I would not marry anyone that had debt. We told Dave how DB paid off 40k in 14 months and is now debt free. We also told Dave about him signing the book and how Doug had to commit before I would let his name be in my book. Dave thought it was pretty funny also. Ms. Martha said if we did break up we would have to call Dave for his advice on who would get to keep the book with both our names in it

We hung out there during his first hour of the show. Ms. Martha offered to give us a tour of the facility and we graciously accepted. She showed us the radio studio, Dave's office, the break rooms, all his awards and book covers, and finally some awesome credit card art. People had made some awesome art from their plasectomies. See photos.
We also had the rare opportunity to see Sharon Ramsey! She walked in while Dave was in the lobby and had lunch. She headed back to his office where she ate lunch. So random and awesome!

After our long tour, we got on the road to head to Memphis for dinner at DJ and Steve's house. We arrived around 6:30 pm and hung with the family. It is so great to see them all! We unpacked the car and brought all our stuff up to our room. As I was moving some things around in the car, I found a dime all by itself sitting on the floor of the backseat. Just a dime - no other change. (This is a heavenly gift from my grandmother. She drops dimes to let us know she is there with us. It is not untypical for any of the Peyroux girls to find dimes in random spots.)
Once all the guests arrived for dinner at the Miles' house we visited and ate dinner. The award for flying the farthest goes to Amy, who is living in Taiwan. Steve made his famous curry for the 13 guests eating dinner. Dinner was great and the company was better - as you probably expected.

We discussed wedding plans and details for the next 3 days. It is very exciting. Jenni and DJ have done a fantastic job planning all the details so far. I hope I can help them out with anything that needs to be done. Jenni and Craig's wedding is going to be awesome!
You may be wondering who Dave dedicated the book to...:) you will have to keep wondering
